Life will always present longing, relational problems, impossible questions, loss, and patterns of hurt. You don’t have to suffer alone anymore; let’s look at the pain together. You may have felt something growing for a long time, or something may have suddenly taken your stability away. No matter what has happened, it is worth attending to, and it’s never too late. I know from my own experience that healing takes time, and it is the biggest gift you can give yourself.
I offer a collaborative space where we will seek to invite and retrieve your sense of personal action in the world, where your relationships, choices, and purpose freely flow from within you. I believe that healing has to do with sharing your internal world, exploring your relationship dynamics, naming your wishes, and finding your agency. If we can focus on these priorities together, I believe you can find the change you are looking for from psychotherapy.
In my work with couples, I seek to create a space where the relationship can be seen for what it is and what it could be. When a relationship is causing pain, I believe each partner is unhappier than ever, suffering more than their partner could ever believe, and creating a familiar hole felt before. Couples therapy is about making all of those things known, understood, and attended to.
I have advanced training in emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT) through the International Center for Excellence in EFT and EFT Center of Los Angeles. I am currently in a core training group for Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). I have an academic background in spiritual formation which informs my desire to support individuals with religious trauma and faith deconstruction or integration.
